Pelican King Salmon Derby
The Pelican King Salmon Derby takes place every June during two full Friday-Saturday weekends; the dates to be determined by the Pelican Chamber of Commerce. The 2022 derby will take place June 10, 11, 12 and 17, 18, & 19. The 2021 Derby had 41 prizes ; their total value was $11,598, comprised 15 prize packages with $2500 for first place. The following businesses, organizations, and persons donated to the derby: Alaska Brewing, Alaska Seaplane Service, Breseman Liquor, Chicobi Charters, Donna’s Restaurant, Frank & Peggy Gebhart, Jerue & Smith Transport, J & S Lodging, Jim Kinnard, Lisianski Inlet Cafe, Nugget Alaska Outfitters, Pacific Fishing, Larry Jarrett, Pelican Chamber of Commerce, Pelican Charters, Race Realty, Tom & Mini Reink, Roy’s Custom Embroidery, Gordon Sjue, Little Hoonah Fish Camp, The Sandbar, Southeast Alaska Real Estate, Trucano Construction, Tyler Rental, Village Barber Shop, and Western Auto Marine.
