and Death on the Gulf of Alaska; Saga of the F/V
Dixie”, by Norm Carson. A non-fiction account
of the wreck of the “Dixie” in 1950
off the coastline of Yakobi Island. A daring rescue
by three residents of Pelican, Alaska saved the
life of one of the crew. The rescuers were each
awarded the Carnegie Heroes Medal. This book is
107 pages and contains about 40 photographs of the
